IDT SCHOOL: Which wheels and rolling resistance should I choose?

IDT Sports offers several different roller ski wheels to choose from for your skis. The wheels on roller skis are divided into four different opponents that affect how fast you roll. The scale goes from 1 to 4 - the higher the number of the wheel, the more resistance there is.

Light resistance: 1'er wheels are the wheels with the least resistance that roll easily. These are fast wheels that are suitable for competition and for experienced runners.

Normal resistance: 2'er wheels are standard wheels on most roller skis and these wheels are the general recommendation for most roller skis. Standard 2'er wheels provide decent resistance that is well suited for technique training while not going too fast on the downhills.

Heavier resistance: 3'er and 4'er wheels are the wheels that give you the most resistance and are a perfect option for stakes training and training against long-distance running. If you have good staking technique and a lot of strength, you can try your hand at 4'er wheels.

IDT Sports also has its own wet wheels for skate skis with higher durability than normal wheels - perfect on rainy days and wet conditions! Choose between rolling resistance 1 to 2.
