IDT SCHOOL: Classic ski VS skating skis.

IDT SCHOOL: Classic ski VS skating skis.

IDT Sports can offer both classic roller skis and skate skis, as well as its own Junior Skate skis. A classic ski is made for classic style, while skate skis are made for skating/freestyle.

IDT CLASSIC
IDT classic roller skis are the only ones on the market that come with a guarantee of directional stability. With an aluminium stem processed and manufactured in Norway this ski will give you constant feedback from the ground. These are skis that give you a real ski-like feeling. Classic roller skis have stops in the rear wheel that ensure that the skis cannot roll backwards, but which ensure nail attachment and thus give you good kick on the slopes. The wheels on classic skis are wider and smaller - which provides more stability and better vibration damping compared to skate skis. IDT Classic i has no other weight limit, and can be used by all weight and age classes.

IDT SKATE
IDT Sports has several types of skate skis:
1. Skate Standard Length = 64 cm Weight: 813 g
2. Skate Elite Women's Length = 68 cm Weight: 810 g
3. Skate Elite Men's Length = 71.5 cm Weight: 860 g

In addition, IDT Sports has IDT Skate Pro PU which are our roller skis with wet wheels, as well as our own Junior Skate Roller skis: Length = 52 cm. Weight: 570 g

Skate skis are shorter than classic skis, which makes it easier to brake and turn. IDT Skate is perfect for beginners learning to master roller skiing, as well as children and youth. The skis have wheels that roll both forward and backward. The wheels are narrower and taller, which contributes to more speed. With skate skis you have more styles to choose from than when you go on classic skis. All IDT Sports skate models have an aluminium stem that ensures that the pendulum on the ski is not disturbed and that the base gives you the feedback you want. This helps you safely enjoy mile after mile on the asphalt almost as you do on snow. Skate Elite is longer than regular skate skis and makes a noticeable difference in how the skis behave on the road: the roller skis are more directionally stable and with longer skis you get a longer push that is more similar to what you experience on cross-country skis. Skate Elite is particularly suitable for cross-country skiers who want to go fast and to become better at skating technique.

IDT JUNIOR
IDT has developed its own junior roller skis that are a shorter and lighter model than the standard models. These are roller skis that are easier to control and that are adapted to children and young people.
